Among the custody issues that a court may consider an emergency are: a child or children in immediate peril, death threats to a parent in front of a child, immediate physical risk to a child or children, a parent attempting to leave the jurisdiction with a child or children, a parent withholding access to a child or children from the other parent, a parent refusing to follow a court order respecting custody or access to a child.
The above list is for guidance only and is far from exhaustive. The offices of Pearce, Ducharme Family Law routinely accept emergency custody cases. Please contact our offices at ((519) 256-9500)
