Among the custody issues that a court may consider an emergency are: a child or children in immediate peril, death threats to a parent in front of a child, immediate physical risk to a child or children, a parent attempting to leave the jurisdiction with a child or children, a parent withholding access to a child or children from the other parent, a parent refusing to follow a court order respecting custody or access to a child.
The above list is for guidance only and is far from exhaustive. The offices of Pearce, Ducharme Family Law routinely accept emergency custody cases. Please contact our offices at (519-256-2500)
